KEVIN VAUGHN, AMFT

Before opening Anchor Creek, Kevin taught high school chemistry for 15 years in Rutherford County. He's currently an adjunct professor of Psychology at Cumberland University, where he developed a first-of-its-kind senior-level undergraduate course, "Trauma-Informed Therapy." This course provides an overview of trauma exposure, posttraumatic symptomatology, and evidence-based treatment approaches.
 
Kevin enjoys cooking, camping, traveling, and live music! Kevin and his wife Jessica have been married for 15 years and have two sons.

Fun Facts
  • Has been SCUBA diving and skydiving
  • Would love to receive his pilot’s license and learn to fly a plane
  • Does not follow sports (field basket?), but appreciates them all (go, teams!)
  • If Kevin could have lunch with any group of celebrities, he would meet with Steve Carell, Rainn Wilson, Nick Offerman, and Gordon Ramsey.
 
Kevin has a temporary license to practice Marriage and Family Therapy in Tennessee and is under the supervision of Jenna Hazlewood, LMFT.
